Note never captialize ich unless it starts a sentence. Sie
(polite) is always capitalized.
Sie is the formal form of address, used when addressing one or more strangers or adults. Sie is both sigular and Plural.
The familar forms du and ihr are used when addressing relatives close friends, and persons under 15 years of age. Du and ihr are frequently used among members of a group such as students, laborers and soliders. Di is singular and ihr id plural.
